After breakfast, we join a guided tour of the Kolmans Kop ghost town, once a thriving village during the Diamond Mining Era. On conclusion of the tour, we board the truck and travel to our private campsite on the edge of the Namib Desert.

  Day 8: Tiras Mountain Conservancy

Today it’s time for a bit of adventure, with a guided 4x4 dune and mountain tour in the area.

  Day 9: Sesriem

This morning we continue north to Sesriem, our next campsite. Sesriem, the gateway to Sossusvlei is named after a 30m deep canyon carved by the Tsauchab River. The name is a reference to the fact that pioneer farmers had to use 6 ox thongs to lower buckets into the canyon. After camp has been set up, we take a drive to Sossusvlei for sundowners

  Day 10: Swakopmund

An early morning visit to Dune 1 is how our day begins, after which we head off via Solitare and the Kuiseb Canyon to Swakopmund – Namibias premier holiday resort. The town contains a wealth of German colonial architecture and typical German cakes and confectionary can be enjoyed. Our campsite tonight is close to town and affords a perfect opportunity to experience the nightlife of the town.

  Day 11: Swakopmund

Today you are at leisure to participate in one (or two) of the many “dune” activities available such as quad biking, sand boarding or hiking.

Spend the day exploring the city and all it has to offer.

  Day 14: Skeleton Coast

This morning we board our truck and head for the West Coast and our campsite right on the beach. The Skeleton Coast has aptly been described as the world’s largest shipping graveyard. It is a beautiful isolated stretch of coast dominated by sand dunes, gravel plains and salt pans. Enjoy the solitude.

  Day 15: Twyfelfontein

DAMARALAND - This is an arid, mountainous wilderness of rugged beauty, with spectacular gorges and rock formations. The plants of Damaraland have evolved to survive in an almost waterless environment.

After breakfast we depart via the Skeleton Coast National Park and head inland to the Twyfelfontein area. Here we visit the Burnt Mountain ad the Organ Pipes, a series of angular columns of dolerite exposed in a dry riverbed. The area around Twyfelfontein has a superb collection of more than 2400 rock engravings some of which we also view. Our overnight stop is at our camp on the Aba Huab River Bed.

  Day 16: Sesfontein

Today, we travel via the Petrified Forest to Sesfontein. Here we will camp for 2 nights in the wild at one of remote campsites in the area.   Day 17: Sesfontein, Purros area

We spend the day in search of the animals that roam this desert landscape.

  Day 18: Epupa Falls

After breakfast, we pack up camp and continue north via Opuwo to Epupa Falls on the edge of the Kunene River deep in Kaokoland .

Kaokoveld
Located in the far north-west, Kaokoland is one of the particularly untouched regions in Namibia. The almost inaccessible area south of the Kunene River is the home of the Himba ethnic group, who have kept their ethnic individuality and culture in the secluded Kaokoland.
Travelling through this region is only possible under expedition-like conditions in off-road vehicles and, furthermore, should only be done under the leadership of an experienced guide. Tracks are hardly signposted, corrugated and extremely stony or sandy. There are no service stations and no accommodation in Kaokoland. You must camp in the wild.
Our campsite is close to the Falls.

Day 19: Epupa Falls

We spend the morning on a guided tour of the Falls and pay a visit to a Himba Village. On our travels through the Kaokoveld we will have the time to meet the Famous Himba people and the Herero. The Himba like the Masai of East Africa are probably the most striking looking people in Africa. Especially in the remote areas we are visiting, the Himba women are still dressed in their traditional dress. The rest of the day is for relaxing and exploring. We once again overnight at Epupa.

  Day 20: Kamanjab

This morning it is time to head back South via Opuwo to Kamanjab. At Kamanjab, we will be overnighting at our private campsite.

  Day 21: Etosha

At Outjo we will make a stop in order to stock up on food supplies and drinks before entering Etosha National Park.

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK - This is one of the major sanctuaries for wildlife in Africa. The heart of the park is the Etosha pan, meaning "place of dry water," an extensive, flat depression of about 5000 square kilometres. This great, white expanse is a place of shimmering mirages; seeing large herds of game in this setting is a uniquely African experience. Our first camp in the Park is Okaukuejo, well known for its floodlit waterhole.

  Day 22: Etosha

After breakfast, we depart on a full day of game viewing en-route to our next camp – Namutoni.

Day 23: Rundu

We leave Etosha today and travel to Rundu via Grootfontein. Tonight we will sleep on the banks of the Okavango River. Close to Grootfontein is the 60 tonne Hoba meteorite, the largest of its kind in the world and unique due to its cuboid shape.

  Day 24: Caprivi

In stark contrast to most of Namibia, the Caprivi Strip is a mosaic of woodlands, riverine forests and swamps. Our destination today is our campsite close to the Mudumu National Park.

  Day 25: Victoria Falls

After an early morning game drive, we leave the Caprivi and cross the border into Botswana, and via the Chobe National Park and Kasane travel to the Kazangula Border where we enter Zimbabwe. Our lodge for the next 2 nights is in the town of Victoria Falls.

  Day 26: Victoria Falls

Today is at leisure, giving you the opportunity not only to view the Falls, but also to participate in some of the many activities on offer such as River Rafting, Bungi Jumping, Helicopter Flights, Boat Cruises, Canoe trips and many others.

  Day 27: Chobe National Park

After breakfast, board our Truck and cross the border into Botswana. Once in Botswana, we head for Chobe National Park. Our campsite for the night is along the banks of the Chobe River.

Chobe, which is the second largest national park in Botswana, covers 10 566 square kilometres. The park is divided into four main focal points comprising the Chobe River front with floodplain and teak forest, the Savuti Marsh in the west about 50 kilometres north of Mababe gate, the Linyanti Swamps in the north-west and the hot dry hinterland in between. We will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area.

  Day 28: Savuti

Today we head south to our next camp – in the Savuti area. Savuti is famous for its elephant hunting lion prides. We spend the afternoon game viewing before returning to camp.

  Day 29: Moremi Game Reserve

Heading even further south, we enter Moremi National Park in the Okavango Delta. Game viewing en-route, we travel to our private camp situated in this vast wilderness.

Many travellers regard the Moremi Wildlife Reserve as the most spectacular and beautiful game park in Southern Africa. It covers more than 1000 square kilometres of grassy flood plains in the north-eastern corner of the Okavango Delta. Apart from savannah, the terrain includes winding waterways with banks of reeds, palm-covered islands, thick forest and lush, lily-covered lagoons where hippos bathe and sport. Huge herds of impala and tsessebe are always in the area, while in the dry season large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra flock into the park from the Kalahari in search of food and water. The rare sitatunga and lechwe antelope live in the papyrus banks of the waterways. Lions, cheetahs and packs of wild dogs hunt in the open grassland. The reserve is home to an immense number of birds.

  Day 30: Moremi Game Reserve

An early morning game drive will be followed by a boat cruise, deep into the Delta where we spend most of the day on the water. There is the possibility of a game walk – weather permitting and maybe even a refreshing swim. We once again overnight at our private campsite.

  Day 31: Moremi Game Reserve

Today is spent game viewing and relaxing at the camp.

  Day 32: Maun

After breakfast we pack up camp and head for Maun. On arrival in the early afternoon, you have the option of joining one of the scenic flights over this beautiful area. Our camp tonight is close to the town.

  Day 33: Nxai Pan

Heading east to the famous Nxai Pan National Park, part of Makgadikgadi Pans, we search for the wild life in the area. Stopping at open pans where the animals gather to drink.

Situated in Northern Botswana, this 2590 square kilometre reserve is mainly forest and savannah woodland and large areas of open grassland. There are two Pans - Nxai (a fossil lake bed about 15 km. wide and covered with short grass), and Kgama-Kgama Pan. WILDLIFE Lion, Leopard, Wild Dog, Cheetah, Springbok, Gemsbok, Large herds of Wildebeest and Zebra, Giraffe, Brown and Spotted Hyena, Eland and other Antelopes. We camp at a site in the park.

  Day 34: Kubu Island

After an early morning game drive, we enjoy brunch at the famous Baines Baobabs before heading to Kubu Island on the edge of Sowa Pans.

  Day 35: Khama Rhino Sanctuary

A scenic drive over the pans takes us to the shoreline of what was once a large inland lake. Via Letlakane, we continue on to Khama Rhino Sanctuary in time for an evening drive in search of White Rhino.

  Day 36: Waterberg

After crossing the border with South Africa, our final night will be spent in the Waterberg. This will be an opportunity to savour a last night in the African Bush, remembering the route traveled and things seen.
