Minimum rental is 5 days and 10 days for collection / return in Botswana. When calculating the number of days, the day of collection is counted as day one of the rental regardless of collection time. The day of return is counted as the final day.
DEPOT HOURS FOR PICK-UP & DROP-OFF
Campers Corner has branches in Windhoek, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Harare and Victoria Falls. Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.30pm. Weekends and public holidays by arrangement only.
TRANSFER
Airport and local hotel transfers for all branches = R100.00 one way
SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENTS
- If the rental vehicle is involved in an accident and is not driveable, a replacement vehicle, if available, may be collected from the closest branch.
- If the hirer requires a replacement vehicle to be delivered, then these charges will be for the hirer's account.
- The hirer is responsible for the recovery of the damaged vehicle to the original rental depot.
- If the hirer is unable or unwilling to take a replacement vehicle, no refunds for early termination of the contract will apply.
- No refund of rental days lost will be considered during the period in which a replacement vehicle is being organised.
- Should the hirer continue with a replacement vehicle then a new rental contract and insurance conditions will apply.
- Campers Corner reserves the right to apply the above conditions as they deem fit.
EXCLUSIONS
The hirer will be fully liable for any damage to the Campers Corner vehicle or third party vehicle / property if:
- The terms of the rental contract are breached.
- Damage to the vehicle is caused by careless, wilful or reckless driving.
- Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Driving on restricted roads.
- Water submersion or salt-water damage is caused.
In case of any damage to the Campers Corner vehicle or third party vehicle / property a second excess will be collected to cover the excess for any subsequent damage.
INFRINGEMENTS
Campers Corner reserves the right to charge the hirer for any speeding or parking fines, associated administration costs and / or accidents including third party vehicle / property damage not reported on the return of the vehicle.
EXCHANGE RATE / CURRENCY VARIATIONS
All credit card transactions are conducted in South African Rand. Due to exchange rate fluctuations there could be some variance in the amount refunded compared to the amount initially charged. Campers Corner accepts no liability for any variances up or down.
CREDIT CARDS
If a credit card is presented as payment, the credit card holder will be jointly and severally liable as a customer.
LICENCE
A valid non-endorsed driver's licence is required - international licence is preferred.
MINIMUM AGE
Drivers must be 21 years or older.
ROAD RESTRICTIONS
Vehicles may be taken into South Africa's neighbouring states but are not allowed into Angola, or Malawi. All insurance cover is void if vehicles enter prohibited areas.
Campers Corner reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, political situations or any other reason.
REPAIRS
Repairs of up to R1 000 may be effected without authorization and will be reimbursed upon presentation of receipts. When over R1 000 we need to be contacted for approval.
CHANGE OF VEHICLE
Campers Corner reserves the right to substitute a comparable or superior vehicle should the requested vehicle not be available due to unforeseen circumstances. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the hirer to any refund.
CANCELLATION FEES
- If cancelled 25 days prior to pick-up = No charge
- If cancelled 24 days to 6 days prior to pick-up =15% of rate
- If cancelled 5 days to 0 days (no show) = 50% of rate
- If vehicle is returned early for any reason = no refund
TAXES
14% VAT is included in rates. Above prices are subject to change in accordance with changes in government taxes.
PETS
No pets are permitted in our vehicles.
